Pressurised Intraperitoneal Aerosol Chemotherapy drug delivery system.
The HurriChem™ (PIPAC) nebulizer is inserted via a minimal access port with a minimum diameter of 10 mm. The HurriChem and the high pressure tubing is connected to an injector pump system. A palliative procedure with the aim of regression of the peritoneal metastases. As a result, patients may remain symptom-free for longer, with a better quality of life and a small chance of regression such that HIPEC is possible.
